Secondary School - St. Anne Ang'orom Girls Secondary School

Overview

St. Anne Ang’orom Girls Secondary School serves 280 students in Forms 1–4 (the equivalent of 9th–12th grade in the U.S.) for the 2026 school year, offering young women an opportunity that many girls in Kenya never receive. Tuition is an investment—20,000 Ksh per year for returning students and 30,000 Ksh for new students—and represents a significant barrier for families facing economic hardship. The school’s core values—honesty, integrity, hard work, discipline, teamwork, and a God‑fearing spirit—reflect the quality of education and character formation these girls receive. In a culture where many girls do not continue past primary school, St. Anne stands as a place of hope, dignity, and possibility.

Current Ministry Areas

Consider It Joy provides monthly sanitary pads for all 280 girls at St. Anne and offers tuition scholarships for students in need, removing two of the biggest barriers that keep girls out of school. Safe, reliable menstrual care protects them from infections caused by using scraps of cloth or other unsafe methods, and it shields them from the dangerous choices some girls feel forced to make when they cannot afford basic supplies. With these essentials provided, the girls can stay healthy, attend school consistently, and focus on their education with dignity and confidence.

The Future

St. Anne is currently sheltering 62 girls who have no safe home to return to after school, placing the school in a difficult and urgent position. Because St. Anne is not licensed as a boarding school, housing these girls puts the administration at risk of government penalties. Yet the alternative—sending vulnerable students to live on the streets—poses far greater danger. In the face of this reality, the school has chosen to protect the girls first, even at significant institutional risk. The need for donations for the building project is urgent.
